I was considering about what to write about today and pondered on whether to make it a humorous post or a more serious one. I know that this is a time of reflection for many of us and I asked myself who needs the most encouragement today.
I understand what it means to be hopeful, yet cautious, that the new year will bring about the changes we so badly need and want. Looking back over my own last year I have made quite a bit of headway in my battle against pain. My two spinal cord implants have helped tremendously and I was able to start this blog as a result. For the first time in 13 years I didn't have to spend Christmas alone, and for that I am so greatful! I am waiting to see a new pain mgmt. dr. who will hopefully be able to help me with the pain that remains.
I've continued my teaching under "Living with Severe, Chronic Pain" where I talk about the medical device that has helped me regain quite a bit of my life back. You will find it at http://fionab-livingwithpainandillness.blogspot.com/
I've also decided to share something inspirational that a good friend of mine shared with me several month ago. It's written by another one of my favorite authors, John Newtown, and has to do with dealing with troubles and difficulties.
If you go over to "Inspirational Readings" on the right side of my blog, you'll find it posted under today's date. I hope it not only gives you hope, but also inspires you to hang in there while the Lord is working things out in your life...
